We’re about to drop new CD “World Ignition!” 8 new tracks putting our hearts on our sleeve…bringing some of our deepest stories of loss, triumph and personal inspiration, with ska, calypso rock, cumbia and beyond…it’s an album about finding our voice and persevering to make a stand.

We’ll be playing a latin set at De de Los Muertos, so come see us at Olvera Street at the end of October!

Got mentioned in San Luis Obispo’s newspaper on our first visit to this college town. The show rocked and we will certainly be coming back to serve all the locals and students with their need for sweaty dancing and skankin’!

“I’m checking out Alarma’s video for “The Last Train,” a cool mix of sepia-tone faux retro footage of a couple falling in love mixed with footage of a guitar-accordion-drum trio delivering their indie rock mix that shares some similarities with the likes of Gogol Bordello and Manu Chao—you can hear influences such as Latin cumbia, reggae, ska, African, Middle Eastern, and flamenco sounds. Check them out this Tuesday, Dec. 15, when the L.A.-based band, which fluctuates between three and six members, plays Frog and Peach (9 p.m.; 21-and-older; free).”

Brothers and sisters, you can pick up Alarma’s album “Ripe Conditions” as a digital download here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/ripe-conditions/id762493789

Take this musical journey into new dimensions in sound: it’s rock with a world music twist. Traditional meets modern. Some fist pumping anthems and some laid back grooves. Eclectic ska and cumbia weaving tales about the joy and sacrifice of people determined to live full lives with dignity. Hit the streets and the dancefloors with this album from one of LA’s most versatile up and coming independent groups.
